Quiltworks is an award winning professional machine quilting service utilizing
a state-of-the-art computer assisted Gammill Statler Stitcher longarm quilting
machine with the latest version of Creative Studio software. Valentine
Quiltworks opened for business in 2006.
My Red Sox t-shirt
quilt won two ribbons at the Machine Quilter’s Expo (MQX) in Manchester, New
Hampshire in April 2007; First Place, Quilts of the Future (quilted with a
computer guided longarm machine), and Rookie of the Year. This annual quilt
show and conference draws quilt entries from extremely talented machine
quilters from all over the world.
Red Sox quilt and
Yankees quilt were featured in the “Quilters Newsletter Magazine” special
publication, “Quilt It For Keepsakes” in December 2007. Included were
instructions for making a t-shirt quilt.
In 2010 I designed,
pieced, and quilted a complex quilt that is published in RaNae Merrill’s book
“Magnificent Spiral Mandala Quilts”. It is featured in the design section, for
my unique approach to the design process.
Spring 2015 issue
of "Modern Patchwork" magazine contains an article about Tula Pink,
and I had the honor of quilting the quilt that features one of her fabric
lines.

Beachplum Quilters of the Jersey Shore 2018, and various additional awards

I have been
designing and piecing quilts for over 40 years, and sewing award winning custom
clothing since I was a young child. Prior to starting my own quilting business
in 2006, I was a professional programmer/analyst in the telecommunications
industry.
Education and training are an
investment of time and money. Over the past 14 years I have attended
conventions and training sessions in several states in order to master the
latest technology and longarm quilting techniques. I have learned from dozens
of nationally known quilters who are also excellent teachers. I also
participate daily in several online machine quilting forums to keep up with the
latest in the machine quilting industry, as well as share my knowledge with
others.
Computer assisted
longarm machine quilting is my passion, bringing together my love for quilting
and technology. With more than 13 years of experience quilting hundreds of
quilts, I have acquired and developed a high level of knowledge and
skill. Combining this with creativity, personal service, and attention to
detail, I am committed to offering you the highest quality quilt finishing.
